Family School Liaison Counselor

Linda grew up in Ottawa and moved to Lethbridge in 2007.  She has a Master of Counselling degree from Gonzaga University and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.  She has worked in public schools for eight years, the last three of which have been with Horizon School Division in the Family School Liaison program.  Linda views her role as a counsellor as a listener, an encourager, and a safe place for students to process emotions.  She believes in instilling a sense of belonging for all students at school and supporting students as they develop strong relationships with their families, peers, and school community.  Linda is passionate about working with children and youth in schools and is looking forward to a great year at D.A. Ferguson Middle School!

When not at work, Linda enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.  She loves going for walks, hand lettering, shopping and travelling.  In 2016 she returned from a year-long exchange program with her family in Australia.
