This nominee has struggled with challenges in her life, but she has been able to overcome them and all those struggles have made her into the strong person she is today. She is an active lifeguard, a caring sibling, a hard-worker and supportive friend. This nominee would never leave someone in need, and helped save her little sister from a house fire. For all these reasons, Madison Waugh is very deserving of an APEX Youth Award. Congratulations Madison Waugh!

Tina Dyck - Arden T. Litt Centre for Learning

This nominee has all the characteristics of a worthy APEX Youth Award winner. Her ability to build up her community through youth leadership within her school is exemplary. Her work through JSET and with the junior high girls leadership program are prime examples of her drive to support her community. She is a talented and incredibly dynamic actor. This nominee deserves this award because of her attitude, leadership ability, excellence in school, helpfulness in every area of school and home and also because all of the aforementioned is a direct result of her conscious decision to be the person she is. For these reason Tina Dyck is worthy of an APEX Youth Award. Congratulations Tina Dyck!

Peter Wiebe - Arden T. Litt Centre for Learning.

This nominee spends much of his time volunteering in his community. Whether he is coaching the Jr. High Basketball team, volunteering as a Fire Fighter or chairing the graduation committee this nominee gives tirelessly of himself. A selfless leader who is credited for his ethical decision making while maintaining his excellent academic standing Peter Wiebe is well deserving of an APEX Youth Award. Congratulations Peter Wiebe!

Samantha Delanoy - Vauxhall High School

Bright, positive, energetic, determined, driven, caring, loving, compassionate, supportive, genuine, encouraging, striver of excellence and a leader were words used by her nominators to describe our next award winner. As a committed member of 4-H, a faithful member and teacher in her church community, and a volunteer who brings friendship, service and compassion to all in her community she is a very deserving recipient of the APEX Youth Award. Through all of these roles, it is safe to say that this young woman makes her community a better place. Even though she has faced some serious health issues, her inner strength and goodness has allowed her to rise as a strong young woman. One day she hopes to be a nurse so she can forever share her gifts of leadership, charity and faith. Our final winner is Samantha Delanoy. Congratulations Sam!
