CRISPY SQUARES

Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup corn syrup

1 cup smooth peanut butter 

6 cups Rice Krispies

ICING:

1-1/2 cups chocolate chips

2 tbsp. butter

 

Directions:

 

  • Measure brown sugar and corn syrup in a medium pot.  Cook over medium heat until it begins to boil.  Remove from heat.

  • Stir in the peanut butter until smooth.

  • Put the Rice Krispies in to a large bowl. 

  • Pour the peanut butter mixture all over the Rice Krispies and stir until coated.

  • Grease a 9 x 13 pan.  Pack mixture into pan.  smooth out.

  • ICING - Put the chocolate chips and butter in to a small pot.  Stir over medium heat until all melted and smooth. 

  • Pour over Rice Krispies and cool until set.

  • Cut into squares. 

Makes 54 squares or 27 bars
