The grade 6 class are working on their figurative study portion of their art curriculum. Students also defined line and were taught that there are many types of lines used in figure drawing, including contour line. An example of contour line is the extreme outside edge of a person. It is a very slow drawing technique, where the pencil is rarely lifted off of the page. The student is to draw exactly what they see, not what they interpret. They had a choice between their drawing their hands or their shoes.
